I love my kids!!!  And I am so grateful for our Savior and His sacrifice He made for us.  I am grateful for that Easter morning when He conquered death and appeared as a resurrected Being!

Family Vacation: Visiting Lourdes

 Lourdes and the kids
 Me and Lourdes
Lourdes gave the kids candy and gifts.

On our way back to Las Vegas, we stopped to see my good friend Lourdes. I met Lourdes on my mission. She had just come over from Peru with a friend. Her friend stole everything she had and left her.  Luckily, Lourdes was able to find work as a nanny for a family.  The family was having lots of marital problems and it wasn't the best situation to be in.  One day she was walking and looking for a church to go to. She found an English ward and the Elders passed her information on to us, the Spanish-speaking sister missionaries. She was a very special lady with a beautiful heart.  She accepted the gospel and was baptized.  There have been many changes in her life since that day and she has been blessed in so many ways.  Lourdes married a great man from California named Jamie, learned English, got a different job, and was able to work on her education.  She supports many family members in Peru financially and encourages her neices and nephews to get good grades and take their education seriously.  Her parents moved to California to live with them as well.  They have had lots of trials, but Lourdes still has a heart of gold!  She embraced my children as if they were hers and was so happy to see us.

Family Vacation: More Legoland

The kids loved playing on the Legoland playground
Daddy was excited to see Star Wars figures
 Demarie, Daddy, and Yoda
Broyden is in heaven on his motorcycle!
 Riding boats with Daddy
Demarie racing around on the speedway...Watch out!
Choo Choo!  They rode the train over and over again
Watch out Demarie!  A shark is going to bite your head off!!!
The aquarium was so much fun!  We saw lots of different fish, sharks, turtles, lobster, octopus, and sea horses.

We had such a good time as a family and were sad to see the vacation come to an end.  We can't wait to do it again!!!

Family Vacation: More Legoland

 This smile says it all...
We loved the buildings made of Legos...
Especially the ones of Las Vegas (Venetian Hotel)
 Stratosphere
In front of the Las Vegas sign

Family Vacation: LegoLand

 Mommy and Broyden flying airplanes
 Car made of Legos
 Preslyn was quite the speedster!
 Floating on the boats
Demarie's favorite ride: The pirate ship!

As part of our trip to California, we spent two days at Legoland. We had a blast! At the end of each day, they were exhausted.  The weather was beautiful and we got fried. It was worth every penny to see their cute smiles!

Family Vacation: San Diego Oceanside Pier

 Watching the surfers
"Mommy, I want to surf! That looks fun!"
Posing at the end of the pier with Mommy.  It was beautiful!
Relaxing and watching the waves with Daddy

Over Spring Break, we took a much needed trip to San Diego.  Our hotel was just a few blocks from Oceanside Pier, so we took a walk and enjoyed the beautiful ocean air.  It was fun to watch the surfers and we actually saw some dolphins swimming in the ocean!
